Ashton Kutcher in Football Comedy

Ashton Kutcher (What Happens in Vegas) is in final negotiations to star in the football comedy "Traded," which had been developed at DreamWorks but became the property of Paramount following DreamWorks' exit in the fall.

Story centers on a superstar NFL quarterback and a 12-year-old middle school geek who magically trade bodies, then quickly learn valuable lessons about humility and courage.

David Stem and David Weiss, who wrote the upcoming 20th Century Fox family pic "They Came From Upstairs," penned the most recent draft. Brian Robbins and Mike Tollin, the former partners behind such sports films as "Coach Carter" and "Varsity Blues," are producing alongside Jason Hoffs.


"The Fugitive" is Being Remade

According to Production Weekly, Warner Bros is looking to remake the 1993 film "The Fugitive," which is based on a 60's TV series by the same name.

The original film revolves around Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford), who is sentenced to death for the murder of his wife. On the way to prison, Kimble escapes and sets out on a search for the real killer, while Marshal Samuel Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones) is tracking him down. "The Fugitive" earned over $360 million in worldwide ticket sales.

Five years later a sequel was released, entitled "US Marshals," focusing on Tommy Lee Jones' character chasing Mark Sheridan (Wesley Snipes), an accused murderer.


Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd Team for Romantic Comedy

James L. Brooks (Terms of Endearment, As Good as It Gets) is directing, producing and writing the screenplay, which involves a love triangle. Rudd would play a white-collar executive vying for Witherspoon's affections, while Wilson would portray a professional baseball pitcher who is also a love interest.

As is customary with Brooks' projects, the story is being kept vague for the film, which has the working title "How Do You Know?" Studio is eyeing an early summer start date.

Will Smith to Star in "Monster Hunter"

Will Smith將取代 Kevin James演出這部電影，在片中他將飾演一個可以看到躲在小孩衣櫥跟床下怪物的心理醫生。
本片將由婚禮終結者導演 David Dobkin 指導，劇本出自怪獸電力公司、Cars的組合 Robert Baird, Daniel Gerson.
所以這將會是一部合家歡型的喜劇。

Back in December 2007, we told you that Will Smith was set to produce a horror film "Monster Hunter," in which Kevin James would play a child psychologist who can see the invisible monsters that torment kids from closets and under beds. He uses his skills to vanquish the beasts until he meets a particularly nasty one.

Now, Horror-Movies is reporting that James will not star. Instead, Smith will step into the lead role. At this point, we have yet to find out whether this is a kids movie or more adult. It's likely that it will end up being PG-13.

The Sony project is written by Robert Baird and Daniel Gerson (Monsters, Inc, Cars) and is set to be directed by David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers). The is currently no start date or release date set.

* "Motorcade," the Len Wiseman-directed thriller that pits the US president against terrorists who commandeer his motorcade on the streets of Los Angeles. Billy Ray is racing to complete a rewrite of the script, with Cruise's input.

Universal is also working with Cruise on "Lost for Words," a romantic comedy in which Cruise would play an actor who gets into a love triangle with his beautiful Chinese director and the filmmaker's jealous translator.

另外章子怡的愛情喜劇 "Lost for Words"在 Hugh Grant退出之後也找阿湯哥演，導演是 Susanne Bier.

Cruise is also flirting with two pictures by 20th Century Fox. He is exploring but isn't attached to the comedy "Wichita," which he's eyeing as a possible team-up with Cameron Diaz, playing an undercover agent who gets thrown together with a woman who has man trouble. Fox 2000 is also pressing along with "Hardy Men," recently hiring Ed Solomon to rewrite a possible re-team with "Tropic Thunder" co-star Ben Stiller.

另外還在洽談跟 Cameron Diaz合作的愛情喜劇 Wichita.

Studios expect that Cruise will do two films this year, and while some questioned his enthusiasm for finding a big project, sources said that he will likely star next year in "The Champions," a feature adaptation of the British TV series about a team of government agents rescued from a plane crash in the Himalayas by an advanced civilization and given superhuman abilities.


Liev Schreiber Joins Angelina Jolie in "Salt"

Liev Schreiber跟 Angelina Jolie將合作新的政治驚悚片，導演是 The Quiet American, Cathc A Fire的 Phillip Noyce.

劇情述敘 Jolie飾演的 CIA探員被懷疑是俄羅斯情報員臥底，並打算要暗殺總統。在逃出追捕後，一方面要跟家庭團聚，另一方面要找出誰是陷害她的主謀。

Liev Schreiber飾演在女主角的好友，同樣在 CIA內工作。

應該是比較深沉一點、像 Breach那樣的政治驚悚片，拍的好也有機會挑戰獎項。

Liev Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is in talks to star opposite Angelina Jolie in the spy thriller "Salt" for Columbia Pictures.

Story centers on Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer who is fingered as a Russian sleeper spy. She eludes capture by superiors who are convinced she is out to assassinate the president. While trying to reunite with her family, she struggles to prove someone else is the traitor.

Schreiber will play Salt's boss and friend on the Russian desk at the CIA. The Phillip Noyce-helmed pic begins lensing next month in New York.
