這本書被時代雜誌評選為20世紀最經典的100本書之一。

內容是也是有關不快樂婚姻，跟美國心玫瑰情感覺很像，調性也是幽默跟諷刺皆有的那種。

凱特有可能跟老公連續合作兩部片，
因為延宕許久的Mabel Stark也被Sam的製作公司買下改編版權。

電影鐵達尼號男女主角將二度合作

（中央社記者顏伶如舊金山二十三日專電）相隔約十年後，曾掀起全球票房旋風的「鐵達尼號」男女主角將二度攜手合作。李奧納多狄卡皮歐與凱特溫絲蕾將在由李查葉茨小說「革命之路」改編的新片中再度搭檔演出，凱特溫絲蕾的導演丈夫山姆曼迪斯將執導本片。

根據好萊塢「每日綜藝報」報導，夢工廠電影公司已經敲定讓李奧納多狄卡皮歐與凱特溫絲蕾再度於銀幕上飾演戀人，這部新片是由作家李查葉茨一九六一年出版的小說「革命之路」改編。

凱特溫絲蕾現實生活中的導演老公、曾以「美國心，玫瑰情」獲奧斯卡最佳導演的山姆曼迪斯，則敲定將為這部新片執導演筒。

夢工廠電影公司指出，這部新片預計今夏開鏡，全球發片版權將由派拉蒙電影公司所有。

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are teaming for the first time since Titanic to star in DreamWorks' Revolutionary Road, reports Variety.

Sam Mendes will direct the movie, based on the acclaimed 1961 novel by Richard Yates about post-war disillusionment.

John N. Hart, Scott Rudin, Bobby Cohen and Mendes, who's married to Winslet, will produce in association with BBC Films.

Yates' heart-rending and bleak book, celebrated for its storytelling style, follows a seemingly happy suburban couple with two children in the mid-1950s who find themselves caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform -- with explosive consequences.

Mendes begins filming this summer from an adapted screenplay by writer Justin Haythe. Paramount Pictures has worldwide rights.



Angelina Jolie is Wanted!

裘莉再度有新片，加入James McAvoy跟Morgan Freeman，演出Night Watch導演Timur Bekmambetov的動作新片

這也是繼史密斯任務之後裘莉再演殺手，在戲中他將調教想要承繼父業成為殺手的James McAvoy。

Universal Pictures has set Angelina Jolie to star alongside James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman in Wanted, the graphic novel adaptation to be directed by Timur Bekmambetov. The movie will be Jolie's next, with shooting to begin in Eastern Europe in May.

McAvoy will play a young man who discovers his father is an assassin, only to learn shortly thereafter that his dad has been murdered. The youth is drafted to follow in his father's footsteps. Jolie will play an assassin who teaches the ropes to the wannabe killer.

The script was originated by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, and Jolie took the role after a rewrite by Dean Georgaris (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life) to tailor the character for her.


Macdonald Directing Pitt in State of Play

史密斯夫婦本週都有新片消息。

已經宣佈很久的State of Play終於要開拍，男主角維持原案為小布，
導演則找來了The Last King of Scotland的Kevin Macdonald。

應該是有要挑戰獎項的意味。

Universal Pictures has set The Last King of Scotland helmer Kevin Macdonald to direct State of Play, the Americanized version of the acclaimed British miniseries that will star Brad Pitt.

Written by Matthew Michael Carnahan, the film is scheduled to shoot in November.

In the story, a congressman's mistress is killed, and a team of investigative reporters secretly work with a police detective to solve the murder. Pitt will play a reporter who was once close to the congressman but now heads an investigation that leads to the highest levels of government and industry.

Andrew Hauptman will produce, and Working Title partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner have joined as producers as well. Paul Abbott, who wrote the original miniseries, will be executive producer.


Green Adapts John Grisham's "Innocent Man"

David Gordon Green應該要快點紅起來的，Undertow的開場十分鐘仍然是我覺得最棒的電影開場之一，Snow Angels今年初在日舞影展也獲得一片好評。

David Gordon Green is in final negotiations to write and direct a screen adaptation of John Grisham's nonfiction book "The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town" for Warner Independent Pictures.

Grisham's "Innocent Man," which was published in October, tells the true story of Ron Williamson, a man wrongly convicted of murder who spent more than 10 years on death row in Oklahoma.

In a separate development, WIP also has nabbed worldwide right to Green's dark domestic drama "Snow Angels," starring Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell.
"Snow" is an adaptation of Stewart O'Nan's 1993 novel. Beckinsale and Rockwell play Annie and Glenn, a separated couple in a small town whose lives take a turn for the worse after Annie begins an affair with the husband (Nicky Katt) of her best friend (Amy Sedaris).

WIP plans to release "Snow," produced for less than $5 million, next year.

Tom Cruise Set for Singer's WWII Thriller

United Artists has set Tom Cruise to star for director Bryan Singer in the untitled WWII thriller that will begin production in the summer.

Chris McQuarrie wrote the script with Nathan Alexander. Singer and McQuarrie will produce, and Alexander will be co-producer.

UA partners Cruise and Wagner made a deal last week for the film, which is the first original project teaming Singer and McQuarrie since The Usual Suspects.

Cruise and Wagner quickly agreed to set the film as UA's second production commitment. The first is Lions for Lambs, the Robert Redford-directed drama that stars Redford, Cruise and Meryl Streep. That film, written by Matthew Michael Carnahan, will be released Nov. 9 by MGM.

Singer, who is in the early stages of mounting a sequel to Superman Returns, was able to fit it in before the Man of Steel is ready to take off again for Warner Bros. and Legendary.

The thriller is based on actual events, as German generals hatch a scheme to assassinate Adolph Hitler at the height of WWII.


Emile Hirsch Revs up for Speed Racer


結果上週才提到的Speed Racer，馬上就換人選角確定。

由新生代演技派男星Emile Hirsch擔任主角，他在The Mudge Boy, Lords of Dogtown, Alpha Dog終都展現出驚人的演技力。

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that actor Emile Hirsch, who last starred in the crime drama Alpha Dog, is in talks to play the title role of Speed Racer in the live-action version of the animated series to be helmed by Larry and Andy Wachowski.

Based on the classic '60s series, created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida and reworked for North American audiences, Speed Racer follows the adventures of young race car driver Speed in his gadget-equipped race car, the Mach 5. The Wachowski's movie will feature other characters from the show, including
Speed's family and his mysterious arch-rival, Racer X.

Plans are for the film to start shooting in Germany in the summer for a planned release by Warner Bros. on May 9, 2008.


Channing Tatum Stars in Sparks' "Dear John"


Channing Tatum一步一步成為名模轉戰演員最成功的一個典範。
片約源源不絕，新片是要主演超級芭樂愛情小說作者Nicholas Sparks(A Walk to Remember, The Notebook)的改編新片Dear John

故事敘述一個即將出戰的士兵愛上一個保守的女大學生，雖然他們計劃要結婚，但必須接受時間跟空間的嚴峻挑戰..blah blah blah..

反正Nicholas Sparks的小說都差不多是這樣 XD

有趣的是Sparks對電影公司選擇Channing Tatum大表贊同，他說他是Tatum的影迷，跟當時The Notebook找Ryan Gosling的狀況一樣。

看女主角跟導演找誰，這部應該也有The Notebook的潛力！

New Line Cinema has snapped up screen rights to Nicholas Sparks bestseller, "Dear John," and attached Channing Tatum to star. It's the second Sparks title acquired by New Line, which turned "The Notebook" into a profitable sleeper.

While home on leave, a soldier falls hard for a gorgeous but conservative college student. Though they plan to wed, time and distance take a toll on their commitment to each other.

The author was swayed by the choice of Tatum to play the young soldier. "We talked about the things that were important to Nicholas, and it turns out he is a fan of Channing Tatum ... who is in a similar position to where Ryan Gosling was when he did 'The Notebook,'" said New Line production president Toby Emmerich.


Russell Crowe to Direct Bra Boys

奧斯卡影帝羅素克羅威升格當導演了！比較特別的是，他的第一部導演作品，並非氣勢磅礡、震古鑠今的大製作，而是一部描述澳洲衝浪三兄弟在夢想與犯罪邊緣掙扎的人性故事。

這部片取材自同名紀錄片，片中主人翁桑尼、柯比和傑三兄弟，住在雪梨近郊的Maroubra，他們熱愛衝浪，技術高超，但三兄弟也都是當地黑幫組織「布拉兄弟」（Bra Boys）成員，本月初這三兄弟才剛從監獄放出來。最近這部紀錄片趁勢在澳洲上映，掀起話題。

Russell Crowe will make his feature directorial debut on Universal and Imagine Entertainment's Bra Boys, a fact-based drama about a counterculture movement in a surf community in Australia, reports Variety.

Brian Grazer will produce. Stuart Beattie (Collateral) will write the screenplay.

The studio will base the film on the Bra Boys documentary that focuses on Sunny, Koby and Jai Abberton, three brothers who began the underground surfer movement in the inner-Sydney seaside suburb of Maroubra.

The documentary addresses the triumphs of the large, rough-and-tumble group, as well as their social struggles. Crowe narrated the documentary. It is unclear whether he will play a role in the film.

Beattie, Crowe and Grazer will also draw from a nonfiction book about the Bra Boys that's in the works.
