James Marsden Boards "27 Dresses"

我最愛的男演員之一Jimmy Marsden終於又有新片，將跟Grey's Anatomy的Katherine Heigl合演愛情喜劇。
片子由Step Up導演Anne Fletcher指導,The Devil Wears Prada編劇Aline Brosh McKenna寫劇本。

神啊！讓Jimmy這次不用被拋棄，被劈腿，正正長長的談個戀愛吧！
喔沒錯！他將飾演拯救女主角不順利戀情的白馬王子！

James Marsden ("X-Men" films) and Malin Akerman (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle) have joined the Katherine Heigl ("Grey's Anatomy") romantic comedy 27 Dresses, the Spyglass Entertainment project to be produced by Fox 2000.

Anne Fletcher (Step Up) is set to direct from a script by The Devil Wears Prada screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna.

27 Dresses centers on a young woman (Heigl) who has made a career out of being a bridesmaid but never a bride and faces her worst nightmare when her sister (Akerman) becomes engaged to the man of her dreams. Luckily, the wedding brings around the man (Marsden) who will change her bridesmaid status
for good.

Production is set to begin in May in New York and Rhode Island.



No "Departed" Sequels

幾天前才驚人的傳出Al Pacino也要加入神鬼無間續集的消息，沒想到居然根本沒有要拍續集的計畫？

續集預定的男主角Mark Wahlberg 跳出來說根本沒有要拍的計畫。

另外他也說The Italian Job的續集The Brazilian Job也不一定會拍。

Mark Wahlberg is making some comments regarding the upcoming "The Departed" sequels. According to him, there might not be a sequel at all, even though everyone seems to be interested, including Robert De Niro.

The actor tells UK Teletext that "Until I'm actually on the set it's not happening. It's about as confirmed as the Italian Job sequel, The Brazilian Job. Until we can make it better than the first one it's not worth discussing."

He adds "I've never done a sequel before, there's only a couple I can think of that were as good as the first ones - The Godfather."



Disney Confirms "Pirates of the Caribbean 4"

會賺錢的金雞母當然要繼續下蛋，神鬼奇航確定有第四集啦！(有完沒完阿)

另外Orli應該是不會出現在第四集了，傳言在這一集就會掛掉。

Earlier rumors spoke of Disney's plans to continue the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, and now a new report has surfaced that the films will, indeed, continue after "At World's End."

The third film in the series reportedly ties up loose ends and seemingly brings closure to characters and storylines central to the first three "Pirates" movies, but the Los Angeles Times cites unidentified sources at Disney who claim that the studio is taking seriously overtures by Johnny Depp expressing that he's keen to stay on with the franchise.

Furthermore, there's fresh speculation that Orlando Bloom may be cut from any future films. We've been here before when rumors of Will Turner's death in "Pirates 3" began swirling last October. And while his big-screen demise doesn't seem likely, it could be that his character arc will simply be resolved and that he'll be written out of "Pirates 4."



Charlize Theron in Susan McDougal Biopic

Susan McDougal, the bit player of the Clinton-era Whitewater scandal, is making a comeback. Hollywood producers are looking at making a story of her life. You remember her: She was the young woman once married to scandal figure Jim McDougal who went to jail for 18 months instead of testifying.

Moviemakers like Paul Haggis of Oscar winners "Crash" and "Million Dollar Baby" were in Little Rock last week scouting locations, and word is that Charlize Theron (Monster) is their McDougal choice.

McDougal wrote her story in 2002, entitled "The Woman Who Wouldn't Talk: Why I Refused to Testify Against the Clintons and What I Learned in Jail."



"Southland Tales" Back on Track

因為Donnie Darko一鳴驚人的新銳導演Richard Kelly的怪誕歌舞新片Southland Tales，
去年在坎城影展首映，惡評如潮。

原因之一其實是當時播出的電影只是初剪版，特效也做的不好，草草播出的結果就是被批的一無是處。
坎城之後這部片就這樣被擱著不管，沒有電影公司願意出前完成這部電影。

好不容易又露出一線曙光，Sony願意出錢啦！
只要完成後製工作，片子應該會在今年底前上映。

Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko) updated his blog with some good news about "Southland Tales." The film which had to be put on hold until it found some funding to finish the special effects, accomplished what it set out to do, as Sony put up the cash to complete the project. Here is what Kelly had to say:

"So we have finally gotten the greenlight from Sony for the additional round of visual effects for 'Southland Tales.' This is VERY GOOD NEWS for the film! We will now be able to finish the film properly. Phew!

The film will be completely finished for the first public screening sometime mid-summer.

Thank you everyone for your patience and I will let you know when the release date is decided upon and teaser trailer will be released (work is about to begin on the marketing materials)."



Ben Whishaw Boards "Bright Star"

Ben Whishaw (Perfume: The Story of a Murderer), one of Britain's rising stars, is in final negotiations to star as the English poet John Keats in period pic "Bright Star" for Pathe.

Helmer Jane Campion has written the script for "Bright Star," the story of the ill-fated romance between Keats and Fanny Brawne, who will be played by Abbie Cornish.

The romance was ended by Keats' death at the age of 25.

"Bright Star," announced by Campion at last year's Cannes Film Festival, is due to start filming in late summer or early fall.
