Scott Porter is Racer X

Scott Porter a.k.a. Jason Street in Friday Night Lights加入明年暑假第一檔大片Speed Racer, 演男主角Emile Hirsch的哥哥。
這角色有大雷，我手賤先去看了。應該是個蠻關鍵偏反派的角色。

趁Friday Night Lights空檔去拍的。

Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) has landed a role in Warner Bros' "Speed Racer," which starts filming this month in Berlin. If you are not familiar with the story and are planning to see the movie, do not read below, as it contains spoilers.

Porter will play Rex, the older brother to Speed Racer who fakes his death and returns as Racer X. Emile Hirsch plays the title role; the cast includes Christina Ricci, Matthew Fox, John Goodman and Susan Sarandon. Andy and Larry Wachowski (The Matrix) wrote and will direct the big screen adaptation.

Porter recently completed a lead role in Screen Gems' "Prom Night" opposite Brittany Snow.


"Disturbia" Director to Helm "Wolverine"

Caruso的電影都有一定質感，也相當會營造氣氛，相信這會是不錯的選擇。

IESB reports that 20th Century Fox has been working on finding a director to helm the "X-Men" spin-off that will focus on Wolverine.

There were rumors that Brett Ratner, director of "X-Men: The Last Stand," might be interested in taking the director role, but apparently that's out the window and the studio is looking to bring in DJ Caruso instead. Caruso has several forgettable flicks on his resume, including "Taking Lives" and "Two for the Money." But his most recent film, "Disturbia," became a huge box office success, garnering him some attention.

In addition, the studio is also preparing a Plan B, incase Caruso backs out. If that were to happen, Fox would bring on Len Wiseman, the man behind all the "Underworld" movies and the upcoming fourth installment of "Die Hard."

Both choices seem decent, but neither is anything to get excited about. Either way, the studio better hurry up, since chairman of Fox, Tom Rothman, has mentioned that "Wolverine" would hit theaters in 2008, a year earlier than the "Magneto" spin-off. And "Magneto" already has a director set (David S. Goyer).


Elizabeth Banks Stars in "A Tale of Two Sisters" Remake

Elizabeth Banks(蜘蛛人, 撕裂人)要拍韓片鬼魅改拍的片，韓片的質感相當高，美版呢？

Elizabeth Banks (Invincible, Slither) will star in the horror remake "A Tale of Two Sisters" for DreamWorks.

Based on the Kim Jee-Woon's 2003 Korean horror film of the same name, the story revolves around two sisters who return home to their father after spending time in a mental institution. Their recovery is hindered by their cruel stepmother's (Banks) obsessiveness and an interfering ghost.

Brothers Thomas and Charles Guard will helm the film, scheduled to begin shooting in July in Shreveport, La. Craig Rosenberg adapted the English-language screenplay, with a rewrite from Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro.



"Prison Break" Star Joins "Night Watch"

Amaury Nolasco ("Prison Break") has been added to the cast of Fox Searchlight's cop thriller Night Watch. David Ayer will direct the film, written by James Ellroy.

Nolasco joins a cast that includes Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker, Hugh Laurie, Chris Evans, Naomie Harris, Common and Terry Crews.

Reeves plays a member of an elite group of LAPD cops who questions the ruthless tactics he has used to become such an effective force in solving murders and battling gang violence and drugs.



Jesse Bradford in "Sigaw" Remake

Jesse(硫磺島的英雄們)要主演知名菲律賓片Sigaw(不知道有沒有中文片名)改拍的驚悚片。

片中他將飾演依名前科犯，發現住隔壁的警察有家暴的傾向，當他想要介入才發現自己也陷入危機中。

警察我劇組挑好人了，就Daivd Morse吧。

Jesse Bradford (Flags of Our Fathers) has signed to star in "The Echo," a remake of the acclaimed Filipino thriller "Sigaw." Yam Laranas, who co-wrote and directed "Sigaw," is directing the movie.

The story centers on a young ex-con (Bradford) who moves into an old apartment building only to learn his neighbor is an abusive police officer who savagely beats his wife and daughter. When the ex-con tries to intervene, he becomes trapped in a curse.

Eric Bernt (The Hitcher) wrote the screenplay.
