為了怕大家等兩年等到冷了，第七季推出前有一部電視電影會先上映。
這部電視電影將在 11/23播出。

電視電影的內容大概是演新女總統 (Cherry Jones)上映那天，不甘做老二的 Noah Daniels再度出來搞破壞。

另一方面，從第七季悲傷走出來的 Jack, 在非洲幫一位老朋友建立難民兒童收養院，卻遭遇反叛軍的襲擊。

這季的大壞蛋由 Jon Voight飾演，在電視電影跟影集之中都會出現。

Kiefer說電視電影大抵上跟即將播映的第七季關係不大，只是有些人物先出場亮相而已。
