Ridley Scott to Direct Crowe in "Nottingham"

Russell Crowe跟Ridley Scott將繼Gladiator神鬼戰士，A Good Year美好的一年和今年底即將上映，計畫挑戰明年獎項的American Gangster後，第四度的合作。

內容將是在度把經典小說羅賓和搬上大螢幕，只是這次的主角將是跟羅賓和有情敵關係的Sheriff of Nottingham.

Ridley Scott (Gladiator) is set to direct Russell Crowe in the Universal Pictures drama "Nottingham," which Brian Grazer is producing for Imagine Entertainment.

Universal earlier bought the script by Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris, creators of the Showtime series "Sleeper Cell," in an auction for seven figures. Crowe was attached at that time.

Crowe stars as the Sheriff of Nottingham in a revisionist take on the Robin Hood tale, with Nottingham as a noble and brave lawman who labors for a corrupt king and engages in a love triangle with Maid Marion and Robin Hood.

Production will start next year.

Two More Join Keanu Reeves in "Night Watch"

繼奧斯卡影帝Forest Whitaker後，驚奇四超人的Chris Evans跟影集House主角Hugh Laurie都加入Night Watch的演出，本片的男主角是Keanu Reeves.

Hugh跟Chris Evans將飾演調查男主角Keanu被陷害案件的警察。

導演是曾參與The Training Day震撼教育製作的David Ayer.

Fox Searchlight and New Regency are lining up Hugh Laurie ("House") and Chris Evans (The Fantastic Four) to join the cast of the James Ellroy-penned crime drama "Night Watch," previously titled "The Night Watchman."

David Ayer is directing; Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker already are onboard to star.

Plot centers around a Los Angeles cop, Reeves, who's become wedded to the bottle after his wife's death and is framed by a onetime mentor, Whitaker, for the killing of a fellow officer. Laurie and Evans would play internal affairs officers.

The film lenses this month.

Ed Burns Joins "27 Dresses"

近年來逐漸把重心移到幕後製作的Ed Burns，將參與之前曾介紹的電影27 Dresses演出。

Burns上部作品是The Holiday戀愛沒有假期，飾演Cameron Diaz偷吃的男朋友。即將上映的新片則是大家熟悉的鬼來電美國版。

Ed Burns will star in "27 Dresses" for Fox 2000 and Spyglass. He joins Katherine Heigl, James Marsden and Malin Akerman in the comedy to be directed by Anne Fletcher. Shooting begins this summer.

Heigl plays a perennial bridesmaid who, after planning many weddings for friends, is drafted by her sister, who's marrying the man with whom the bridesmaid is in love. Burns plays the groom.

Burns just completed "One Missed Call," the Warner Bros. remake of the Japanese horror film "Chakushin Ari."

Assasination of Jesse James" Problems Revealed

眾所期待矚目的西部片The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - 描述神槍手Robert Ford抓拿江洋大盜Jesse James的故事。

這部片遲遲不上映的原因終於出來了。

首先是片長超過三小時，然後華納想要這片是Eastwood型的西部片，但導演有他的想法。

來是大家都有初剪版，小布的公司剪了一版，製作人Ridley Scott剪了一版，本片剪輯師Michael Kahn也剪了一版。

不過不管哪版，試映的評價都很差
(不過之前傳出的試映很好？)

The reasons for the long delay of Warners' "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," starring Brad Pitt as the legendary outlaw and based on the novel by Ron Hansen, have finally been revealed.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the key issues behind the delay are the film's tone and over three-hour running time. The studio is said to have wanted more of a Clint Eastwood-style actioner, while director Andrew Dominik "wanted to deliver a dark, contemplative examination of fame and infamy, in the spirit of director Terrence Malick."

Dominik delivered his cut of the film, while Pitt, who is also the film's producer, cut his own version. The Times reports, "Various versions of the film were assembled and tested, with Pitt, producer Ridley Scott (Gladiator) and editor Michael Kahn (Saving Private Ryan) either overseeing new cuts of the film or suggesting revisions, according to people familiar with the process." To make matters worse, test screenings reportedly fared poorly.

With a September 21st release date set for "Jesse James," the paper says it's not certain yet which version will be released. But Warners said in a statement last week that the version to be released will be "true to the source material and in keeping with the creative vision of its filmmakers. We do not comment on the internal creative process of bringing a picture to the screen, but the goal of both the studio and the filmmakers is to deliver the best film possible. We are all very pleased with the picture we are bringing to theaters this fall."

Michael Mann Directs Leonardo DiCaprio

Michael Mann has delivered to studio execs what he hopes will be his next directing effort, a star vehicle for Leonardo DiCaprio.

Scripted by John Logan, the project is an untitled noir drama that takes place on the old MGM lot in the 1930s. DiCaprio is poised to play the kind of private detective studios once relied on to clean up the scandals created by its stars. He's hired to investigate whether a starlet murdered her husband.

Sources said the script is strong and the film has a period feel reminiscent of "L.A. Confidential." The film has a February start date and it will shoot mostly on soundstages.

Liv Tyler Joins "Incredible Hulk"

產後復出積極的Liv Tyler, 第一部大片即是加入綠巨人浩克的卡司行列, 她將演上集Jennifer Connelly的角色，浩克的女朋友。

Edward Norton + Liv Tyler, 哇！已經夠令人期待了。

Liv Tyler will star opposite Ed Norton in Marvel Studios' "The Incredible Hulk," signing on to play Betty Ross, the longtime love interest of Bruce Banner/the Hulk. Louis Leterrier is directing the movie.

Ross, a classic "Hulk" character from the comic book's beginning in 1962, is Banner's fellow scientist and an ally in his quest to rid him of his lurking monster deep inside. The movie will unfold with Ross estranged from Banner (Norton), but with the pursuit of the Hulk heating up and Banner on the run trying to cure his condition, Ross finds herself swept back into his life.

Jennifer Connelly played the character in the 2003 movie "Hulk," directed by Ang Lee.

Filming on the new "Hulk" is slated to begin in the summer in Toronto. Universal Pictures is distributing.
